The Himalayas are a powerhouse of resources. Due to the natural terrain, it sometimes becomes difficult to earn livelihood. Harshit Sahdev had formed a bond with the locals of Himalayas, but it was not until he met Chloe in 2018, that they ventured into selling “Pahadi Namak”. Both of them built relationships with the community, which was warm and welcoming, and started to work for their upliftment. They sourced local salts and employed local people to package it. This was a huge success which led to the start of a larger mission for Himshakti- to put a halt to emigration and provide sustainable livelihoods to the villagers.
