White Rice & Brown Rice
White rice is our regular rice and has had its husk, bran, and germ removed, stripping it of all of its nutrients. High-fiber rice, such as brown rice and white rice especially, can contribute to digestive issues, including diarrhea, bloating, and gas.

More common than others (white and Basmati rice being an exception), brown rice is whole-grain rice with an outer-protective shell known as the hull. Unlike white rice, it contains the bran layer and the germ-both of which are packed with nutrients.
Some of you might also know that Arsenic is present in rice, be it brown or white. In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says that parents and pregnant women should not consume rice or rice cereals as their primary grain due to the presence of Arsenic. The presence of heavy metals in Arsenic leads to its accumulation over time which tends to cease excretion.
Red rice, on the other hand, is not a very commonly consumed product. The International Journal of Current Research in Biosciences and Plant Biology has proved that red rice is a richer source of protein, zinc, and iron than white rice/Brown rice. Plus, if you are someone with bowel disorders, the presence of bran in red rice can be used for constipation and other bowel disorders.
Daily consumption – Red Rice
While other cereals cannot be consumed on a daily basis, Red rice is a perfect addition to your daily diet as it is a whole grain. Whole grains retain the entire grain seed, including the germ, bran, and endosperm. Red rice contains a component called anthocyanin and hence it is consumed either partially hulled or unhulled.
However, it is important to buy red rice from brands that only claim to have 100% natural derivatives, as you don’t want your rice to be colored–because it might lead to all nutrients being scrapped out anyway.
So, to answer your question, White and Brown rice are the ones that are most commonly used in the world, but Red Rice has a million times more nutritional value.
